Flora Scarf

chris flora scarf

I made a new scarf for Chris this winter. The last one I made him was acrylic and crocheted 4 or 5 years ago. This one is wool and much warmer.  It’s called the Flora scarf from smariek knits . I knitted it with Patons Classic Wool Merino in Leaf Green.

Usually I get bored with knitting scarves because it feels like miles of plain knitting. So I looked for a scarf with a pattern that would be appropriate for a guy. By that I mean not lacy.

To make it easier to knit, I wrote out the 12 pattern rows on an index card, then highlighted each row with a different color so I wouldn’t lose where I was. The extra bonus was that I didn’t need to bring the whole paper pattern and get it all crinkled up in my knitting bag.

Hey, I just wanted to know if you casted on more stitches then the pattern calls for. If so, how many? Yours looks PERFECT.

I’m so sorry, I don’t remember. You’d think I would think to write stuff like that down!
