I made this in the car on the way to Minneapolis in 2007. I always bring some kind of needlework in the car on long trips because for some reason reading in the car makes me a little nauseous. But I can knit and crochet all I like.

I love rick rack . Even green rick rack. It just looks so retro. The yarn is some mystery yarn from walmart in one of those bulk yarn bags. Acrylic, for sure, but still soft.
It took some figuring out to get the wave just right. I’ll try to remember exactly what I did so I can make another someday.
