I knit a whole sweater! It’s a kids sweater, but the whole thing is finished. I never finished a whole sweater before, I usually get bored halfway through.
The yarn is Sandnes Garn Mandarin Petit that I bought by accident on Ebay. I think i was trying to get mercerized cotton. It’s a great deep purply blue that I think will look great with Dejas hair.
I found the pattern on the garnstudio website called Jacket knitted from side to side and knit the size 3/4 years, thinking it would take me forever to knit it in tiny yarn on tiny needles. So it would still fit her when it was finished. Ha! Now I’ll have to wait for her to grow to wear it. I started and finished it in about six weeks, and I did the two aviator caps during those six weeks, too.
I like how it flares out at the bottom. It does that because of the short rows.
I had just the right buttons in my button bucket. I had to break up a set of eight, but they were the perfect size and color. Hopefully I can find something else that only needs three buttons.
On the needles now:
A sweater for Vaughan and leg warmers for me. I’m working on writing a pattern for the legwarmers, so hopefully I’ll be able to share that as well.
