I love the little button groupings. The beaded ones are circles of beads around tiny little buttons.

My lovely fancy bernina machine supplied the beautiful stitching around the edges. It was so fun to experiment with different stitches to find out which ones would look best.

I made five different ones and four of them are at the shop.

They aren’t telling us whether it’s a boy or girl but I still wanted to have color in it. I think the dark teal can work for either. I haven’t found buttons for it yet, unless you think bright red would do? I’m waffling on the color a bit.

The pattern is Baby Sophisticate by Linden Heflin (ravelry link) and it was a really fast, easy knit. I think this was done in 4 days and I didn’t even knit one of those days. I love the collar! It’s made using short rows, which is super easy in garter stitch.

I love non-traditional colors for baby clothes. And I love stripes. And I love my friend Michelle enough to knit her baby a whole sweater. Her baby will be so handsome in this:

I’m done. That’s 3 days of knitting. Gotta love how fast baby sweaters knit up. So fast. And if you make them too big, you know they’ll fit eventually.

This is almost the last of the bulk bag of acrylic yarn from Walmart. So very soft and still machine washable. The pattern is Baby Blueberry Cardigan by Elizabeth Maine.
