I made this bonnet quite awhile ago for Deja, but my pattern turned out too big. It’s still a little too big for her, but she insisted on wearing it today. It has two snaps in the back so you can lay it flat to iron it, if needed.

Lovely Baby Bonnets

These were a huge amount of work. Usually I avoid hand-sewing like the plague, but these I felt inspired to hand-bead! Crazy, I know.
I love the little button groupings.  The beaded ones are circles of beads around tiny little buttons.

Mitered Bonnet pattern update

The size of hat in the original pattern will fit a size medium/large head. If your head is on the smaller side, use size 3.5 or 3.75 mm dpns, following the pattern just the same. This is the hat knit with 3.5 mm needles:
