I saw these gorgeous crocheted sweaters on etsy. They look raw and organic in design and that struck a chord with me.
So I’m doing something I don’t think I’ve ever done before. I just grabbed some yarn and started chaining. No pattern, just a general idea of how I want it to look. I have always used a pattern before. I might change a pattern to suit me, but I always start with a pattern.
I worked on it for about three days and this is the result:

That is acrylic yarn from a scarf I bought years ago. I reclaimed it because it’s so super soft. I started running out of yarn when I started the sleeves, so I unravelled the rest of the ball, attached the other yarn end to the other sleeve and did one row at a time on both sleeves. So both sleeves are the same length and I used up every scrap of yarn. This is all the yarn that’s left over:
And I’m using that bit to sew on the buttons. Thrifty!
